Several days ago, I went to a dog expo at a convention center. As you would imagine, there were lots of dogs, lots of dog stuff and many dog owners. It was unfortunate that Princess wasn't around but I decided to go by myself anyways.
The best part of going to something like this is the number of goodies that are free. This convention reminded me of the MBA convention in Chicago several years ago. I got some really cool goodies from BP. (Thanks for the cool stuff, BP!)
On stage, a dog trainer was showing the audience how to train a deaf dog and in the middle of the center was the adoption center with many dogs waiting to find their furever homes.
I walked by a counter that was selling leashes. It was the kind of leash that could turn into a harness, a collar, a regular leash, a leash for multiple dogs, etc. The sale representative was very eager to demonstrate his product to me. On top of the counter was a tired dog. A cute little white dog sound asleep on the counter. With no hesitation or showing any sympathy to the dog, the guy lifted the dog up and proceeded to use the dog to demonstrate the different ways of using the leash. And during the process, the dog was being lifted and turned multiple times.
This guy wasn't going to sell anything. Any animal lovers (especially the women) would disagree with how he handled the dog. He didn't do anything to show that he cared. It turns out, he is the owner of the company!!!
How unfortunate.
