Surprises

If surprises are expected then they really aren't surprises, right? If you know you will pass on from this life tomorrow, who do you want to spend time with today?

My MBA program is a very small program compares to other universities and that means, you see the same people everyday. It is like going to a very small community college, you might not be able to say their names but you know they are one of you and one is in deep trouble, we all feel the pain.

My heart sunk today when I received the news that a classmate's wife is pronounced brain dead. She just gave birth to their 3rd child four days ago. He just graduated 2 weeks ago. Life was going to take off and they were getting ready for a brand new adventure.

And things turned for the worst. She is probably my age or even younger. He is a very talented musician. She left him and the three little kids without even having the chance to say goodbye. I can't even comprehend what he is going through.

Scott sent out an email update today and I really like what he said at the end of the email.

"This is one of those moments when you hold those close to you a little tighter, love those you love a little more, and be thankful for a knowledge of the gospel that will allow us to be with our family forever."

Please pray for this family.
