Crisis

Friend E saw me today and asked "Carol, are you going through some sort of crisis? I mean, you just started doing a bunch of random things this semester.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, you first took snowboarding lessons and now voice lessons. They are kind of random. Are you okay?"

I think I am okay but am I going through crisis and I don't even know? May be, may be not. Being able to snowboard is one of my goals this year. I am a big outdoor person so snowboarding doesn't seem to be out of the ordinary. Now voice lessons, well, that's kind of normal too. If you are Asian, you are supposed to be really good at karaoke and love it. I love karaoke and I am just expanding my horizon and sing some classical music this semester. That's all.

No, there is no crisis, just not wanting school to get in the way of fun.

But hey, after 5 lessons, I can do switch riding, regular riding on blue and get off the lift without falling! Goal achieved!

  1. That actually sounds normal for you. If you stopped doing those things, I would take you to the doctor because something would be drastically wrong. Glad you're mastering snowboarding. I would like to learn but I live in a flat land.

  2. Emily, glad you are my reality check. You are right, if I stop doing new things, then there is something definitely wrong withe me. Well, I don't know where I will be going after this semester. Might end up in a flat land and road biking instead. May be we can road bike together!

  3. Move to Houston!!!! We could do road biking, sea kayaking, wind surfing, and/or sculling together.

  4. I think it's great that you're not letting school get in the way of fun! Especially while you're in Utah you have to take advantage of the great snow, and developing another talent or two is always a good thing!
